Angelia Orr

Rural Texas' Proven Conservative Voice

IMG_8508.jpg

Angelia graduated from Texas A&M in 1992 and has spent her life working hard for her family and community. She didn’t come up through politics—she earned the trust of her neighbors the Texas way: with grit, integrity, and results.

She has served as an election judge, precinct chair, and delegate to six Republican state conventions. She was elected to the Itasca School Board, serving two terms as secretary. In 2010, Angelia decisively defeated a five-term Democratic incumbent to become Hill County’s District Clerk, winning a competitive three-person Republican primary along the way.

In 2021, grassroots conservatives asked Angelia to run in the newly formed House District 13. Now in her second term as State Representative, she has carried multiple House Speaker priority bills, including HB 24, which reforms zoning regulations to lower housing costs, reduce the housing shortage, and protect rural Texas from urban overreach. She also authored HB 128, which bans sister-city relationships between Texas cities and foreign adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party, protecting Texas communities from undue foreign influence.

As Chair of the Article II Appropriations Subcommittee, Angelia has led efforts to protect rural healthcare, prevent billions of dollars in waste, and expand funding for pro-life programs and initiatives. In her two sessions as a state representative, she has delivered landmark wins for Texans, investing $10 Billion to secure our border, raising the property tax homestead exemption by 300%. She proudly holds a 100% voting record on Republican Party of Texas priorities and has been honored with the Effective Conservative Award two sessions in a row.

Angelia doesn’t just represent rural Texas—she lives it. She’s a proven conservative voice fighting for faith, family, freedom, and the future of our communities.
