Celebrating 250 Years of American Greatness

For a quarter of a millennium, the United States has stood as a shining example of freedom, opportunity, and self-government. No nation in history has done more to advance human liberty, pursue innovation, or spread the cause of freedom around the world.

America is truly exceptional.

America's greatness rests on a revolutionary idea: that freedom is not granted by government, but protected by it. Our Founders established a system that recognizes God-given rights, limits the power of government, and places sovereignty in the hands of the people.

For 250 years, generations of Americans have built upon that foundation. They crossed frontiers, built businesses, developed life-saving technologies, cultivated farms and ranches, defended freedom on distant battlefields, and created the most prosperous nation mankind has ever known.

And throughout that story, Texas has played a special role. We are the state that feeds America, powers America, and increasingly leads America.

When families and businesses look for opportunity, they come to Texas. When innovators want to build the future, they come to Texas. When people grow frustrated with high taxes, burdensome regulations, and government overreach elsewhere, they find a better path here.

Texas continues to embrace the principles that made America successful in the first place: freedom, personal responsibility, strong families, safe communities, and economic opportunity.

We lead the nation in energy production. We continue to attract jobs and investment from across the country and around the world. Our economy remains one of the strongest anywhere on earth. From agriculture to manufacturing, from healthcare to technology, Texans are helping

shape the future.

And our greatest strength is found in our people. It is found in the ranchers, farmers, teachers, small business owners, first responders, veterans, pastors, and hardworking families who make our communities strong. They are the reason Texas continues to lead.

Happy Independence Day, and may God continue to bless the United States of America and the great State of Texas.
