Texas Women's Privacy Act
Senate Bill 8
PASSES
"When it comes to choosing between my little girl's safety and privacy, and a grown man's bathroom preferences, I'm going to choose my little girl every single time."
- Angelia Orr
For almost ten years, this commonsense reform couldn’t get across the finish line—that's why Angelia Orr stepped up to the plate and Sponsored Senate Bill 8 in the 2nd Special Session of 2025.
In a matter of weeks, Angelia and Senator Middleton, along with their colleagues, stakeholders, and staff, delivered this landmark legislation over the finish line and onto Governor Abbott's.
As a result, Texas women and girls will be safer.

No longer will a biological male be permitted to enter a women's private space (locker room, bathroom, changing room, etc). We are returning to biological truth and restoring dignity, safety, and privacy to women and girls when they are at their most vulnerable.
The Democrats threw everything they had at Angelia during the debate, but she stood strong on principle and by faith.
